I really
want to write a book. I don’t necessarily want to be published, although that
would be great, because I’m well aware that my current writing level is nowhere
near good enough to actually get a book published and I don’t have the skills,
knowledge or talent to even begin self-publishing. I just really love writing
and I definitely don’t do it often enough. I think that if I actually managed
to finish a book, complete with a beginning, middle and end, I would feel such
a sense of accomplishment and know that I had actually achieved something
worthwhile. It’s really easy to come up with ideas for books, I have so many
half started stories and other pieces of fiction that it’s not even funny but I
haven’t yet managed to finish anything (apart from one short story about an
evil tooth fairy. It’s as weird as it sounds and involves pliers).
The idea behind this blog is to kind
of encourage me to finish my book. I don’t expect anyone to actually see this
(but if you do see this, say hi :D), but it’s going to be out there on the
internet, guilting me into writing as much as possible. Hopefully.
I think I’ll
probably post updates about how I’m doing, and probably a lot of other random
stuff such as the books I’m really enjoying and pictures of my cat (I seriously
love my cat and hardly ever get to see her because she stays with my mum which
upsets me).
